When I began this Camino, I had little knowledge about it. However, along the way, I gained invaluable lessons:
I learned how to navigate and follow the directions on the Camino.
I learned the proper way to carry my backpack, ensuring comfort and balance from other pilgrims.
I learned the rule of walking on the left side of the road when sharing it with cars.
I learned not to worry about where I would end up or find a place to stay, as the Camino always provided for me.
I learned flexibility and adaptability, finding peace in knowing that everything would work out fine, just as it does in life.
I learned to take one step at a time, a lesson that extends beyond the Camino and applies to all aspects of life.
Walking the Camino brought me immense joy and tranquility:
The Camino surpassed my expectations, bringing more enjoyment than I had anticipated.
While I had some idea of what the Camino would be like from watching YouTube videos, they couldn't capture the true beauty of the experience. It was about how I felt while walking it.
I relished the moments of solitude, feeling safe and peaceful as I journeyed alone. At times, I walked alongside others briefly, but I often craved solitude again.
Witnessing the ever-changing landscapes, breathing in the fresh air, and being immersed in nature brought me deep contentment.
Each glass of wine and simple meal at the end of a challenging day became a precious and cherished experience.
Most importantly, I thoroughly enjoyed meeting people from around the world, learning about their lives, cultures, and listening to their stories, which often led to moments of laughter and connection.
I found joy in the simplicity of life on the Camino:
There were no fancy cars, luxurious houses, or extravagant hotels. Instead, I embraced a minimalist lifestyle with only a set of changing clothes.
My daily focus was solely on walking, taking one step at a time, without the burdens of material possessions.
I learned to accept the sometimes-harsh sleeping conditions, such as crowded rooms with loud snorers. I adapted to taking showers in small bathrooms and washing my clothes daily, hanging them to dry outdoors.
Visiting small grocery stores to gather simple dinner ingredients became a cherished part of the experience.
Overall, the Camino offered me a profound sense of joy, peace, and appreciation for the simple pleasures of life.
nsformative journey. Whether you're seeking spiritual growth, adventure, or a break from everyday life, the Camino has something to offer everyone. It's an experience that can enrich your life and leave a lasting impact.
